2026 Etsy Fee Rates — Unchanged from 2025
Etsy takes 9.5–14% of each sale in 2026, depending on your item price. The effective percentage is higher on cheaper items because of Etsy's flat fees. Here's the exact breakdown: Etsy charges a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee, and a 3% + $0.25 payment processing fee (US). Etsy has not changed its fee structure for 2026.
Optional: 15% Offsite Ads fee (12% for sellers over $10,000/year) when a buyer comes through an Etsy-placed ad.

The $0.20 listing fee and the $0.25 processing flat fee are the same whether you sell a $5 item or a $200 item. On a $5 sale, those two flat fees alone represent 9% of revenue. On a $100 sale, they represent just 0.45%. This is why Etsy's effective rate is so high for low-price items — and why many experienced sellers set a $15–20 minimum price.
Etsy's 6.5% transaction fee applies to the combined total of your item price and whatever shipping amount you charge the buyer. If you charge $25 for an item and $5 for shipping, the 6.5% applies to the full $30 — adding $0.33 more than most sellers expect. The payment processing fee also applies to the shipping portion.
Etsy last changed its fee structure in April 2022, when the transaction fee increased from 5% to 6.5%. Since then, rates have remained stable. The 2026 fee schedule — $0.20 listing, 6.5% transaction, 3%+$0.25 processing — is identical to 2025. There is no indication Etsy plans further changes for the remainder of 2026.
Yes. The 6.5% transaction fee applies to both the item price and any shipping amount you charge the buyer. The 3%+$0.25 payment processing fee also applies to the combined total. Only the $0.20 listing fee is flat — unaffected by shipping.
If you offer free shipping, you absorb the shipping cost yourself. Etsy's 6.5% transaction fee still applies to your item price only (since there's no shipping charged to the buyer). Many sellers raise their item price to cover shipping when listing with free shipping.
Etsy refunds the transaction fee and payment processing fee when you issue a full refund. The $0.20 listing fee is non-refundable, and your listing remains active after a refund. For partial refunds, Etsy refunds the fee proportionally.
Etsy Plus is a $10/month subscription that adds credits for listings and ads but does not change Etsy fee percentages. All standard fees (listing, transaction, processing) remain the same for Plus subscribers. The subscription is separate from per-transaction fees.
The 6.5% transaction fee is the same worldwide. Payment processing rates vary by country — UK sellers pay 4% + £0.20, Canadian sellers pay 3% + CA$0.25, Australian sellers pay 3% + A$0.25, European sellers pay 4% + €0.30. The $0.20 listing fee is charged in USD regardless of seller location.
